Team Composition and Rules

We do not rate players or teams in Ireland, but for those travelling from the USA, the level of the tournament is D and E division (C Division players/teams are also welcome to register). Divisions will be structured roughly in line with the level indicated on your registration form.

D Division teams may have a maximum of two C-rated players.

The tournament is an open format meaning there are no gender specifications for teams.

Teams are also not required to comprise only LGBT+ players, allies are welcome to play, however teams should be majority LGBT+ and LGBT+-identified.

Other Considerations

Teams seeking to participate should plan to book accommodation and travel as soon as possible as pride month is a busy time in Dublin, and the tournament takes place over the June bank holiday weekend in Ireland.

Dublin offers a range of hotel options in a variety of price categories for accommodation. LGBT+ Softball Ireland have secured a discounted rate Trinity Hall in Rathmines. The discount code will be emailed to teams on registration.

There will be an opening launch event on the evening of Friday, 4 June 2027 to mark the opening of the tournament (details to be circulated closer to the tournament date).

In addition to their participation in the tournament, teams travelling to Dublin can take full advantage of the events being offered during pride month (https://dublinpride.ie/).
